A variety of chemotherapy combinations have been used, including cyclophosphamide + vincristine + dacarbazine (DTIC), which may produce tumor regression and improve symptoms, biochemical markers and hypertension.
    Radiation therapy may improve or palliate local complications caused by metastases.

• Clinical trials are under way to find more effective chemotherapy treatments.
• One therapeutic approach for patients whose tumors cannot be removed, have recurred or have metastasized is
  targeted radiation therapy with I-131 MIBG. This treatment has resulted in the shrinkage of tumors and a
  reduction in symptoms in some patients.
